Purposes of VASP:
To promote the development and maintenance of quality psychological services in the schools of the Commonwealth of Virginia
To contribute to the advancement of the profession by sponsoring continuing professional development programs for members
To encourage research and the dissemination of information to extend the body of knowledge in the field
To communicate with and educate the public regarding the purposes and objective of the profession, which are to serve the interests of the children, families and schools
To promote legislation which is in the best interests of the pupils of the schools of the Commonwealth of Virginia and of the profession of School Psychology
To support the objectives of the Virginia Psychological Association
