Virginia Academic & Applied Psychologists Academy (VAAP)

The Virginia Academic and Applied Psychologists (VAAP) Academy is dedicated to "the advancement of psychology as a science, enhancement of the teaching of psychology, and fostering of high standards of ethics and training; by providing the opportunity for the eschange of experience and research through discussions, presentations and publications; and by educating the public in the purposes and goals of the science of psychology.  To advance psychology as an applied behavioral science in all of its interdisciplinary aspects.  Additionally VAAP serves to educate the public about the scientific basis and the numerous everyday contributions the profession of applied psychology has been making toward promoting human welfare. To establish a professionally viable home for all practicing applied psychologists in the Commonwealth, and encourage their involvement by providing the opportunity for the exchange of experience and research through discussion, presentation and publications.
